 Rabbit Island Just off the coast of Oahu. July 2006 The Hawaiian Islands were rocking the other day. I have not heard of any deaths thank goodness. The place where I went in 2004 was just a few miles from the epicenter. Active volcanoes. Monster waves. The ground moving beneath your feet. Hawaii is a potent reminder that the earth is alive.
